The Story of the Little Ice Cubes
Once upon a time, there were many little ice cubes. They lived in Singapore.
But they could only last five minutes. After five minutes, they melt and become puddles of water.

The little ice cubes were all cloudy, but with other little bits inside them that were clear. When little ice cubes were happy, more bits inside them became clear.

One day, there was an ice cube called Ice Zen. He set down thinking, contemplating for many, many days. And he became totally clear.

He taught the ice cubes that they had to be useful. They shall not do harm, including harming themselves.

He taught that even though little ice cubes can only last five minutes, all ice cubes can make themselves useful for that little while. He told stories of how little ice cubes became very useful.

Three little ice cubes can made a cold orange juice for Sora. Ten little ice cubes brought down Shizuku's fever when she was sick.

When little ice cubes made themselves useful, they were happy. In the end, they become water, but they go into the water cycle and become ice cubes again.

But some ice cubes were naughty. They did not make themselves useful. They became very sharp and they cut little children.

The little children cried and cried. The naughty ice cubes became puddles of water. Because they were naughty, Mummy Kimiko used tissue to wipe them up and threw them into the toilet bowl. They would never become ice cubes again.

There were some ice cubes who did nothing. They thought, "I will become water in five minutes anyways, I am not going to do anything." They became puddles of water without doing anything useful. Mummy Kimiko used tissue to wipe them up and threw them into the toilet bowl.

Some ice cubes decided to harm themselves purposely. They drank lots and lots of beer. After five minutes, they became smelly puddles of water. Mummy Kimiko used tissue to wipe them up and threw them into the toilet bowl.

Some ice cubes jumped from the freezer to the floor.

They became puddles of water immediately. They did not become useful ice cubes. Mummy Kimiko also used tissue to wipe them up and threw them into the toilet bowl.

Ice Zen taught that when ice cubes do a lot of good and they become really, really useful. They become like him and attain Nirvana. They become the Universe.
